No experience required – just bring your inner child and an appetite for learning!

Kate Thornhill, a ceramic artist, academic librarian, and dedicated ceramics teaching artist, calls Eugene, Oregon home. With a solid educational foundation in fine arts, art history, and library and information science, Kate’s expertise shines through when sharing and making with others. When not immersed in her librarian duties at the University of Oregon, Kate is busy igniting creative sparks in both adults and children through her pottery and ceramic classes at Maude Kerns Art Center and Wildling Collaborative Arts. Specializing in guiding adults taking their first steps into ceramics or reigniting their passion for clay, Kate brings playfulness into all her classrooms, sparking and spending time with our inner kids.
