Polaroid Emulsion Lift Workshop
w/ visiting artist, Dani Hughes
Sat, May 11th | 2-6p at The Sou’wester Lodge Pavilion 3728 J Pl Seaview, WA.
In this hands-on workshop, participants will have the opportunity to take their own polaroid photograph and transform it into an emulsion lift print. Led by an experienced instructor, students will learn about the history and basics of polaroid emulsion transfers and a step-by-step guidance of the process. This class is beginner friendly and will include polaroid cameras and film, watercolor paper, and other basic material, as well as offer a new perspective on the medium of photography.
Dani F. Hughes is a fine artist, photographer, and art educator based in the Midwest. She works within an image-based practice utilizing analog processing methods to explore human experiences of intrinsic longing, personal histories, and coexistence to the natural world. Currently serving as a Studio Assistant for the Detroit Institute of Arts, Dani is an active member of the artistic community, participating in collaborative projects, workshops, and interactive education.
